Start by breaking up the ground beef in a bowl and marinading it using the coconut aminos, one tablespoon of avocado oil, and pressed garlic clove.
Knead the meat so that the liquids evenly distribute. Break the meat up into 4 large balls. Then, flatten the burgers into patties.
Preheat grill or griddle to medium-low heat.
For the caramelized onions, you can start by slice the onions.
Heat 1 tablespoon of avocado oil in a pan over medium-low heat.
When hot, add the onions and sauté until softened and starting to brown. This should take about 10 minutes. Take care not to burn them completely.
Remove from the pan and set aside.
Turn up the heat to medium-high heat.
Once the pan is hot, add the burger patties.
