Being able to make a breakfast in a single pan has long been a goal that I have strived toward. The less kitchen stuff we use, the fewer things we have to wash later, right? So, when I saw this neat hack for making a french toast bacon egg and cheese sandwich in a single pan on tik tok, I new that I had to try it.

We are currently have WAY too many eggs in the refrigerator. They are there because my husband is going to be doing some baking, but I figured that it would be the perfect opportunity to experiment with this new sandwich idea.

Here is the list of ingredients for this low carb breakfast sandwich. You can get the full amounts in the printable recipe card below.

  • Bacon – You can make this yummy breakfast sandwich with fully cooked bacon or sausage patties.
  • Bread – For this recipe we used L’Oven Fresh Zero Net Carvs Multiseed bread from Aldi. This is great because we are trying to manage our carbohydrate intake while still eating some of our favorite foods. The keto bread is very high in fiber which balances out the other carbohydrates. It has zero net carbs per slice.
  • Eggs – We used large eggs for this recipe. Feel free to use what you have and adjust the measurements accordingly. You can actually add more egg rather than less to the keto breakfast sandwiches. It will just make a thicker sandwich.
  • Heavy cream – We used Heavy Cream instead of milk to avoid the sugars that are in milk. This made the egg light and fluffy. 
  • Shredded cheese

  • Frying pan
  • Whisk
  • Spatula 
  • Mixing Bowl

How to Make tik tok breakfast sandwich?

First, start by adding the eggs and heavy cream into a mixing bowl together.

Then, whisk Egg and heavy cream until they are full combined.

Mix until fluffy eggs

Then, heat a medium to large sized frying pan. You need it big enough to fit the two slices of bread. Be sure to grease it so the eggs don’t stick when you try to flip it.

Pour the eggs into the skillet (greased frying pan) over medium heat.

Place two slices of bread into a frying pan on top of the egg and make sure to soak each side.

While the eggs were cooking, I heated up some pre-cooked slices of bacon in the microwave. Some might view this as a sacrilege, but I find if you are using them as part of a sandwich or a topping they work perfectly fine.

When egg is cooked flip the bread and the eggs over to reveal the inside of the sandwich.

Once it is flipped put cheese on one side and bacon in the other. Then close the sandwich and brown each side until the cheese is fully melted.

Honestly it was my first time trying it, and I think it turned out pretty well! This is something I’m going to be requesting my husband make in the morning for us since he’s normally the first person awake.

We used cheese and bacon as a filling, but you can get creative and use other items such as breakfast sausage or Canadian bacon. Obviously, if you are sticking to a keto or low carb meal plan you will want to double check the macro nutrients on anything that you decide to add.
